Brian was born on the 26 August 1951. He died unexpectedly on the 18th of June 2000 at the age of 48. He is one of eight children. During his illness he was cared for by my mother and although he knew that he was dying, he chose not to share that with the family, hence his death being unexpected. Every photo we have of him he is laughing and he always was the life and soul of any gathering and had a great sense of humour. He was married to Lorraine when he was 25, but the marriage failed one year later due to his alcoholism. He had a second partner many years later and fathered a son and a daughter. It is my belief that when his marriage failed to his first wife, he never recovered as Lorraine was truly his soul mate. He was never able to fill the hole that was left in his heart and alcohol for him became a way of temporarily easing his pain and regret.
